2 Hit by Cemb

What if everythig were this easy?

Once again CEMB revolutionizes the world of balancing with the introduction of a new patented pending data input system.

Thanks to the aid of Laser Spotter and a Laser line, 2-hit allows the input of dimensions by operating directly on the wheel, making the balancing process increasingly user-friendly.

  • Select the type of rim to work on.
  • Manually move the wheel until the Laser Spotter pointer matches the Laser line and hit the tyre with a light punch to acquire the diameter.
  • Place the Laser Spotter pointer on the first correction plane and hit the tyre to confirm the selection.
  • The Laser Spotter pointer will automatically reposition itself near the second correction plane and a small movement will be enough to reach the exact point to be confirmed with a hit.

2-hit is the first wheel balancer to support this technology and represents the perfect mix of innovation, speed, simplicity, strength and ergonomics.

Automatic Approach by CEMB

Automatic approach to the correction position

To facilitate and speed up the calibration procedure, CEMB has introduced the automatic approach to the correction position on all balancing machines equipped with electric brake that are not provided with automatic positioning system.

Once the measuring launch is completed, the wheel automatically stops around 15° from the exact point of application of the counterweight, allowing the operator to position it correctly with a little movement.

After the first plane correction, pressing “start” the wheel will be repositioned around the second correction point.

Laser Spotter - Perfect Balancing In Just One Spin

Greatest accuracy during the positioning of stick-on weights through laser spotter: perfect balancing in just one spin.

Preview of the exact weight positioning spot visible already during the wheel dimensions acquisition phase.
During the correction, the LASER SPOTTER pinpoints the exact position for stick-on weights application inside the rim.
Thanks to the electric brake – which locks the wheel into the exact angular position of the unbalance – you avoid possible errors during the weight application making the balancing process faster, simpler and more precise.
In static balancing mode, LASER SPOTTER detects the exact static weight location, in order to minimize the residual unbalance on the external planes.

OE Balancing Solutions In Your Workshop

PRIME FACTORY MODE

OE balancing solution in your workshop

The new Prime Factory Mode software comes from the experience of CEMB in the industrial field. If activated, Prime Factory Mode gives readings of the unbalance values refered to the external planes according to the methodology adopted by the car manufacturers, saving time and counterweight.

When can I be sure that the wheel is balanced?
Normally, wheels are considered balanced when residual unbalance on reference planes is less than a certain tolerance (5 gr o 7 gr).
Commonly reference planes are identified with the correction planes  on which you choose to place the counterweights.
Nevertheless car manufactures make a clear distinction: correction planes, internal to the rim in case of adhesive weights, do not correspond to the reference planes for the evaluation of the residual unbalance, which are identified with the external planes of the wheel .
Prime Factory Mode follows this methodology: with the standard ISO 21940, even if adhesive weights inside the rim are used, analyzes and verifies the residual unbalance on the external planes of the wheel, with the purpose of:

  • Reproducing the real tolerable unbalance.
  • Bringing back the residual unbalance value to a factory value.
  • Saving both time and counterweights.

In tests it could be required a correction in the inner planes  despite the fact that the unbalance values on the external reference planes are in tolerance. This is due to the proximity of the correction planes, having a shorter distance to the center of the wheel, compared to the external reference planes, which are more distant and with a greater diameter. This involves a waste of counterweights and more time to balance a single wheel, an issue that the Prime Factory Mode technology solves completely.
Thanks to the Prime Factory Mode you can finally have the balancing quality of car manufactures in your workshop, every time you want.

One Plane Balancing

Where innovation meets simplicity

Enables to eliminate both static and dynamic unbalance with a single counterweight, indicating the exact position to apply the weight inside the rim.

It is a known factor that the static unbalance is the major cause of vibrations perceived by drivers. Many wheel balancers are capable of indicating the pure static unbalance value, however they never indicate the exact position to apply the counterweight so it has become a habit to place it in any axial position inside the rim.
This approximation can influence and increase the value of the dynamic unbalance.

One Plane Balancing overcomes these setbacks by obtaining a substantial reduction of the static unbalance and, at the same time, minimize the dynamic unbalance: with the aid of Spotter technology, OPB determines the axial position of the static correction plane, indicating it with a laser spot, so that the residual unbalance value referred to the external planes of wheel is the minimum possible, thereby guaranteeing substantial reduction of the vibrations of the vehicle.
When residual unbalance value detected is below the tolerance referred to the external planes, an indicator flashes on the panel to inform operator it is possible to perform the balancing with a single counterweight.
